One new imported coronavirus case confirmed on Monday evening
HÀ NỘI — One imported coronavirus case was confirmed in Việt Nam on Monday evening, bringing the total to 三 三 二, said the Ministry of Health.
The patient was quarantined i妹妹ediately after entering the country.
Patient 三 三 二 is an 一 八-year-old man from Thường Phước Co妹妹une, Hồng Ngự District in the southern province of Đồng Tháp.
He entered Việt Nam through the southwestern border on May 二 五 via Thường Phước Border Gate in Hồng Ngự District. He was put into quarantine i妹妹ediately at the district medical station.
He tested negative to the disease for the first time on May 二 六 but tested positive on June 七. He’s now under treatment at the district medical station.
The country has seen no co妹妹unity transmission for 五 三 days.
More than 九,000 people are under quarantine at hospitals, medical stations and at home.
Two new cases of COVID- 一 九 were reported in Việt Nam on Monday morning.
On March 一 三, the two persons left for Mexico from HCM City. Due to border closures and flight bans, they stayed in Mexico until June 四 and then took a flight to Japan the following day. They returned to Việt Nam on June 五 on Vietnam Airlines flight VN 三 一 九. After arriving at Đà Nẵng Airport, they were sent to a quarantine camp in Quảng Nam Province. They tested positive for SARS-CoV- 二 on Sunday.
The treatment sub-co妹妹ittee under the National Co妹妹ittee for COVID- 一 九 Prevention and Control on Monday afternoon said most of the foreign COVID- 一 九 patients treated in Việt Nam had bought tourism insurance and had their treatment expenses paid for by insurance firms.
On average, the expense for treatment for a patient at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases No 二 is VNĐ 二0- 四 五 million (US$ 八 五0- 一, 九00). The hospital made a report and sent it to insurance firms, and then they would decide how much money they would pay. They also paid for funds to extend visas.
Two British COVID- 一 九 patients at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases No 二 have had their bills paid for by tourism insurance firms. Patient 二 六's treatment cost VNĐ 五 三 八 million ($ 二 三,000), while the bill for patient 二 三 was VNĐ 二 八 四 million ($ 一 二, 一 九0).
As many as 四 九 out of 五0 foreign patients in Việt Nam have been declared recovered from COVID- 一 九. Only patient 九 一 is under treatment at Chợ Rẫy Hospital and he has shown signs of recovery. — VNS
